Overview
I'm looking for remote consulting contracts. I am a champion for intelligent change. I crave efficiency in my work, and in the processes I am asked to support or develop.
I have broad systems experience spanning over 20 years, with focused experience in database management and web development skills.
My gift is the ability to see ways of solving problems that others do not see - and then find a practical, efficient way of getting that solution in place.
If you're looking for a creative, innovative and self-motivated problem solver, please contact me at
.
Thank you,
Robert Duckett

Design Skills
- Business Analysis - Over my time in various roles, I've often been called upon to develop various kinds of requirements documents, depending on the era, and the culture of the organization I was part of. From this, I have gained much experience in effective translation from business speak, to technical speak. In many ways, I've come to see my role, my talent, is directly related to the simple act of translating from one language to another.
- Database Design - Information technology is all about... information. Data is used to store, define, and manage information. There is no point to an application if it does not produce useful information. The design of a database, one of my favorite things to do, is crucial to the success of any application design.
- Application Architecture - Over many years of experience, I've seen the fads come and go. I've seen what works, and what is a rehash of something that didn't work 10 years ago. I'm always open to new and exciting discoveries, but I temper that excitement with praticality and the over-arching goal to create an application that works for today, and the future.
